Local Software Developers Earn DOE Business for Fifth Year

Wilmington, DE -- Local software development company, Healex Systems, has been chosen to work with the Delaware Department of Education for the fifth year in a row. Healex Systems will work on automating and upgrading the Department of Education's grant proposal process as well as developing a "School Improvement" section of the DOE website.

Healex Systems is developing this project to meet the needs of the DOE, which previously used a complex, time-consuming, paper-based grant proposal system. The new, automated application process enables schools to easily apply on-line for various grant opportunities, thereby increasing funding for Delaware Public Schools.

Grant Applications can now be submitted and viewed through the Internet by each school district by simply accessing the DOE website.

This Internet empowered filing method shortens the time required for completion and transmission of an application to a grant sponsor. It also assures submission is comprehensive and accurate, therefore saving both time and labor all while enabling greater efficiency than the original paper-based process.

Healex utilized its Form Feeder technology to construct grant applications directly from Department of Education originals in order to maintain user familiarity and allow them to be "user friendly."

Healex Systems has worked with the DOE to automate Entitlement Grants and State Specific Grants, as well as Competitive Grant proposals, which are applied for once per year during the spring.
